AT&T’s Unlimited iPad Data Really is Unlimited, According to AT&T
There’s plenty of wireless carriers out there that boast unlimited data plans. Why? Because they believed 5GB of data usage a month is just about unlimited. And perhaps for a normal person, or an average user at least, it is. But, there’s always the possibility to go over it, especially if you’re streaming video, music, or you just like to download things. AT&T wants to make sure that you really, really understand that the iPad WiFi + 3G’s data coverage is unlimited.

That’s why they’ve gone ahead and released a one-page sheet, detailing the unlimited plan you’ll expect to see when you get your iPad WiFi + 3G tablet unboxed. Why would you expect to see it there? Because you’ll be able to add, delete, change, and monitor your data coverage right from the iPad. Additionally, you’ll be notified when you’re getting closer to depleting that other option, you know the one, the 250MB per month plan. That plan goes for $14.99 if you’re interested in that kind of thing. And, when you’ve come to depleting 30 percent of your data, you’ll get notified (and the option to up your data for the month), along with 20 and 10 percent. Also, when you’ve depleted it totally.
But, if you’re doing 250MB in a month, you might as well up to the $29.99 a month and go unlimited. Because, well, it’s unlimited. You’ll be able to check your data consumption right from the settings screen on your iPad. Pretty cool feature if you ask us, and it’s a great way to make sure that people always keep track of how much data they’re using up.
