iBooks Get a Price Increase
Remember that post we had a few days back, where we talked about the iBooks getting their prices officially (by unofficial means) shown off? Well, it looks like we’ve got some bad news, for all those folks out there who thought everything was going to be hunky-dory (meaning, that $9.99 sweet spot). We’ve now got pictures of the iBookstore, from before and now, showing that things have changed.
We were assuming that the screenshot we saw was giving us the final word on iBook pricing, but we can obviously see that that may not have been the case at all. Everything changes, right? What we’re seeing in the screenshot this time around is that the majority of books have increased in price. To that more expected $12.99 mid-range we’ve spoke about before. It would seem that $14.99 is still a ceiling, thankfully, but it’s looking more and more like the $12.99 is indeed where the mile marker will be placed.
Of course, if this tells us anything, it tells us that everything can change. This is a screenshot, but it is in no way shape or form the final word from Apple. Which, as you should know, is the final word we’re still waiting on. And, yes, Apple, we’d love to have that final word before we get our hands on the iPad. So, let’s get on that.
