iPad Sales Could Rocket up to 7 Million — This Year
As we’ve clearly mentioned in the past, analysts remarks are becoming somewhat old, and we can’t help but feel like we’re beating a dead horse here. Especially the ones saying that the iPad isn’t going to do well. At this point, we figure we can go ahead and count those “conservative” reports right out of the conservative window. Looks like the majority of analysts are saying that the iPad is indeed a success, and that numbers are going to be remarkably high, actually, for the first version of Apple’s tablet.

7 million. That’s the number being thrown around right now. 7 million iPads sold in the first year. Yes, that number has been thrown around in the past, but it was never once agreed on. Now, it seems, that the majority of analysts out there are all saying the iPad will actually do very, very well for itself in its first year of manufacturing. Of course, that would lead some to wonder if Apple will indeed wait a year to launch the next version of their beloved tablet. (Yes, people are already thinking about the next version.)
Sadly, the talk about Flash Player, and how it will severely dampen the web browsing experience is still floating around. In fact, as CNET reports, it’s considered heavily by analysts from iSuppli. The truth is, no, you can’t see many video formats on the Internet, right from the browser. You can’t just step on over to Hulu and start watching. No, you can’t go to Netflix’s website and start watching. But, guess what? Netflix has a video-streaming iPad application. Hulu is rumored to have one, too. And CBS and ABC are providing their own applications so you can watch free TV shows. Flash. Doesn’t. Matter. And that’s the end of that.
