The iPad’s one big drawback, at least to the general consumer, is that it doesn’t have multitasking. And right now, the biggest rumor swirling around the entire world, is that the newest version of the iPhone Operating System, which will be a big fat 4, will certainly include some form of multitasking. That would indeed bring the new tablet from the Cupertino-based company into a whole new realm, if it didn’t already exist there.

Apple has just sent out all of their prerequisite invites to the media masses, and SlashGear will be there on April 8th to bring you all the latest information as it breaks. We’re expecting Steve Jobs to stand on stage and deliver to all of us something out-of-this-world, and something that makes the iPhone, iPod Touch, and especially the iPad stand out in a league all their own.

So, make sure to check back here on April 8th, as we will be sure to bring you all the latest details as they break. That’s only three days away, ladies and gentlemen. What do you think the new iPhone OS will incorporate? Are you most excited about multitasking, too?

  1. Would be nice to have an iPhone 5 now to use it. With all the other products gearing up to be released this summer, I think Apple made a mistake not getting in the mix in June. iPhone 5 will be a great product, but in September, or August, just not sure if this was a good move. Rip Blu-Ray for Mac Um, if you're going to complain .. can you correct English / grammar? I am assuming you are trying out to say "suck all of these applications." Then please explain why.
