There’s never a bad thing when it comes to more options, and we’re loving the idea that Netflix could make its way to the App Store. Most of the chatter right now is circling around the iPhone application, and what it would be like, but of course (as the title suggests), there’s a lot of room to think that the iPad would fit right in there. Because, you know, it uses the same Operating System as the iPhone.

According to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, who was speaking with Reuters this past September, an iPhone application was forecast for future release. He also noted that nothing was planned for the short-term, but if a survey released to “a few” subscribers over the last few days is any indication, then it looks like Netflix may be getting ready to launch something. Whether that’s soon or not, still remains to be seen, of course.

Basically, Netflix wanted to know what consumers think of the iPhone, and that if a Netflix app were presented to them, would they use it. While we can’t talk for the majority of subscribers out there, or even the ones who were issued this survey, we would love to add that we’re eagerly anticipating a Netflix app. One that would incorporate all the features of the movie distribution platform, along with a few hidden gems in there.
