There’s a couple biographies out there on bookshelves right now, centered on the heart and soul of the company known as Apple, but they aren’t considered the final word on the subject of Steve Jobs’ life. Why? Because they have all been missing one key component of the formula to make a good, in-depth and revealing biography: Steve Jobs. In light of this whole eBook War that has since spurred into the limelight since the announcement of the iPad, we couldn’t help but think that the biography of Jobs is simply meant to be an iBook, sold through the iBookstore.

If you’ve read through the other biographies and was left wanting more, you just need to be a little bit more patient. According to The New York Times, author and former Managing Editor of Time magazine Walter Isaacson is primed to start work on an official biography of Mr. Jobs, with his help. While we aren’t going to necessarily label a “rumor” sticker on here, we are seeing that the same, unofficial people are referencing this project: “people briefed on the subject.”

According to these people in-the-know, the book is currently in the early planning stages. When they finish it up, it will be the complete life of Jobs up until this point; covering his childhood in Silicon Valley, and through his ascent (and a couple descents) in the technology industry. Jobs is turning 55 this year, so maybe that has something to do with wanting to get an official account of his life out there, amidst all the other forms of it littering the bookshelves. In almost laughable Apple fashion, Mr. Isaacson refused to comment on the project, giving away no hints as to its legitimacy. As we mentioned above, we’re not saying that this is a rumor or that the official biography isn’t happening, we just can’t help but laugh at the whole “rumor-ambiance” this has. Would you buy the official biography of Steve Jobs (if and) when it hits the iBookstore shelves?

  1. i might drop a few bucks for that
  2. Just a question but how does this make your iPhone worthless? Or a brick? My favorite streaming podcast app is AudioPress. It works on 3G and Edge.I'm not sure what Apple would be able to sue webOS over. Can you clarify? DVD decoder My mind has been made up and a switch to a Droid device on Verizon will happen when contract runs out on ATT. I will not upgrade my 3G any further. You should be able to EASILY get 3 years, if not more, from your phone. Mine would likely last 3-4 years, but not if i keep installing crippling updates. Booo, Apple!Of course, if i had Macboy15's money, i'd have a brand new MBP every year and a brand new iPhone every 1.5 years.
  3. I would like to create manual entries in Contacts on the ipad a group, or import the existing groups in gmail ... how does it work? The contacts have been synchronized with the iPad.? how to watch movies on ipad I wish Apple had answered every single question with "Doesn't matter."
  4. So I've noticed that my bank does not work with app IOS5 is also noticed that the phone has some problems installing apps, but really you just need to double click on the installation. It can be a bit slow sometimes, and it was freezing occasionally, so to start with me. But I love the applications! iPad video Converter Mac Listen Apple, this is what we want: a fast iPhone, no lags or needs to restart, more memory (at least 32gb), and the same if not better battery life. Do whatever it takes to achieve this all. Period.Oh! And maybe improve the horrid multitasking system, where all apps are running in the background, even if you didn't open them after you restarted your phone. You said you did it best, but it's the worse. BlackBerry has the best multitasking system, and it looks like it may always.I could go on and on about software such as notifications, but I think I stuck to the topic here.
