Rumor Mill: iPad Will See Store Shelves on March 26th
This isn’t the first time this little nugget of joy has popped up, so we’re beginning to think that this may be (somewhat) true. Along with the rest of the information herein, that should also be taken with a grain of salt. We’re still waiting on some kind of word from Apple regarding the release date of the iPad, so for right now this is going to have to suffice.
There’s a few sources out there, and a few of them apparently caught up with The Examiner, filling them in on the juicy tidbits. According to these sources, it looks like the iPad will be sliding into store’s on the 10th of March, but specifically for employee training. Five days later, on the 15th, that’s when the commercials for the tablet will start airing. We assume this will be a national ad campaign, so you should expect to see them all the time. And then the big day will hit on the 26th: you’ll be able to walk, run, or shimmy your way into some form of retailer and pick up an iPad of your own.
These rumors are probably going to continue to pick up speed, before they ultimately turn out to be true or false. There’s no other way they can turn out, obviously. As a little side-note, we’re not exactly sure how accurate the Examiner is, so again, get that salt shaker out. They would also like to note that there’s a special prize in it for those who want to sit out in a line in front of Apple Stores. So, if you like surprises and gifts, get your camping gear ready.
