You know, there’s got to be some perks about going to college. Sure, the knowledge that you’re (one step) closer to getting a good job and living the life you’ve always wanted should be good enough, but, let’s be realistic. We need a reason in the here and now, right? Thanks to the Seton Hill University, students that enroll for this Fall semester, full-time, are going to get a pretty big bonus: an iPad.

According to the tip received, students will be able to get their iPad thanks to the Technology Advantage Program. Furthermore, it looks like students will also be able to download the school’s literature from Apple’s iBookstore. The school will also, obviously, allow students to use it for file sharing, as well as taking notes in class. It would be quite entertaining if they outlawed it from classes, wouldn’t it? After all, it’s a pretty great multimedia device, now isn’t it?
We’re seeing this as only the beginning. With one university doing it, we’re sure that Apple is going to wiggle its way into the hearts of a lot more students well into the future. And it makes perfect sense, especially from a student’s perspective. After all, who wants to carry around all those books? Now you can have them all in one place, and it will only weigh a little over a pound. Definitely makes us want to get back to class, if just to get an iPad.
