Virginia Gets an iPad [Video]
And no, we don’t mean the state. In this video, you’ll meet a 99-year old woman who has just bought her first computer to do what she loves to do: read and write. And no, it isn’t what you might think it is. (Then again, if you’re on this site, maybe it is.)

Virginia loves her poetry, and she loves to read. And, despite the fact that she may be rooted in the old ways, she knew that she needed to take a step into the new world: technology. And with that, what better way to go than pick up the iPad, Apple’s magical and revolutionary tablet device. Sure enough, as you can see in the video, Virginia makes her way through the tablet’s User Interface with an ease that’s actually remarkable. Almost like she had been using one for years.
This nice old lady uses Pages as her main writing tool, where she puts all of her poetry in a nice collected place. And of course, as we’ve discussed in the forums, Virginia actually prefers herself some landscape usage, rather than portrait. Check out the video in wonderment: it’s really a sight to behold.
